Mario Mirkovich creates art that is not a mere copy of nature. His paintings are a representation of the natural beauty found in places like the San Pedro & Palos Verdes Peninsula, Southern California and Europe.
Painting, lecturing, demonstrating, providing art for charitable organizations and teaching at the Palos Verdes Art Center are just some of the ways he has contributed to the local community as an artist. Avoiding the clichés associated with naturalistic art that is his creative niche, Mirkovich is successful in creating paintings that are a pensive expression of the oft overlooked beauty contained in landscapes adjacent to urban areas.
His studio/gallery “Mario’s Art Gallery”, located at 2438 S. Western Avenue in San Pedro, serves as a space where he both creates and displays his artistic visions of the surrounding area. Exclusively showcasing his works the gallery is open from Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm. To meet with the artist please make sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment.
